Join us for a vibrant Day of the Dead (Día de los Muertos) Parade on November 1st at 3 PM! This celebration will honor Mexican heritage and kick off one of the biggest and most exciting events in Hattiesburg, Artists Way.Experience a procession filled with:
- Authentic Mexican costumes
- Towering mojigangas (giant puppets)
- A lively mariachi band
The parade starts at the Rebekah Stark Johnson Community Arts Center (825 Main St) and will travel up Main Street to The Creators Plaza (100 W 4th St).
The fun doesn't stop there! After the parade, the mariachis will continue to play at The Creators Plaza and we will be providing authentic Mexican treats and drinks!
Nuestro Arte will be hosting a Day of the Dead Skull Auction and will have an authentic Mexican altar. We invite you to bring items like food, photos, or other offerings to place on the altar in memory of your loved ones. Please do not bring any items you wish to have returned.
This event is also the official launch of Artists Way, a community experience that brings local artisans and businesses together to showcase incredible creative talent throughout the Pine Belt.
Come celebrate with us and honor the spirit of creativity and community!
This grant was made possible thanks to a grant from Sipp Culture!
