
About this Event
Visitors of all ages are invited to celebrate this traditional Mexican holiday, which will feature an afternoon and evening filled with fun, remembrance, and community spirit.
This festival is presented in partnership with the Consulate General of Mexico, Oakland Cemetery, and the Oficina de Enlace GTO-Georgia.
The festival is free to the public.
Highlights include:
Traditional Entertainment: Street performers, Aztec dancers, and a mariachi band.
Food: On-site vendors will sell Mexican food.
Face Painting: Free, but tips appreciated.
Ofrendas: Visit authentic traditional altars.
Catrina/Catrin Costume Contest: Wear your favorite Day of the Dead costume and paint your face for a Catrina and Catrin contest to be held at 5:00 PM. Cash prizes will be awarded for best costume.
