Join us for a hands on art-making workshop that honors and celebrates our ancestors and loved ones who have passed away. Create a nicho (small decorative box that honors a person, object or theme) inspired by personal and shared memories, our natural surroundings, and the monarch butterfly, a cultural symbol representing hope, transformation, and the cyclical nature of life and death.
The workshop will take place in Berkeley Art Center's backyard area, surrounded by native oaks, redwoods, California bay laurels and the delightful sound of the Codornices Creek at Live Oak Park. Let's share space and creativity in this fun workshop facilitated by local artist and educator Etty Alberto.

ABOUT BERKELEY ART CENTER
Berkeley Art Center (BAC) is a hub for artistic exploration and community building that champions work by Bay Area artists and curators.
