We've added an extra event in our calendar - and we're very excited about it.On Sunday 31 August we're having a Day of Inclusion - helping people of all abilities to enjoy our museum and learn about public transport. Here's what we and our lovely friends @BeeNetwork are planning:
• Bee Network bus in the museum – try a modern bus with up-to-date accessibility, under no time pressure and with a staff member on hand to help you. Wheelchair user? Restricted vision? Get on board and get familiar with modern Bee Network buses.
• The lovely folk at Ring & Ride will be there with an accessible minibus
• BSL guided tours
• At 3 pm we’ll reduce lighting and audio around the museum – this helps some people with hypersensitivity
• We’ll run a free shuttle bus to and from Shudehill Interchange, and we plan that one of the buses in use will be Stagecoach Manchester 612 which has better accessibility than other buses in our collection (subject to availability)
And to make our museum as inclusive as possible, that day all entry will be completely free.
