Dance all day long! Hour long masterclasses of different styles throughout the day. Stay for all or participate in some, and potentially watch others. No previous dance experience needed for any of these sessions. Classes are free but registration is required, register at www.greenboxarts.org or call our Box Office at 719.465.3065
All of the following classes will take place at the Sallie Bush Community Center: 10795 Ute Pass Ave, Green Mountain Falls, CO 80819
1. Dancing Your Stories For Elders with Ormao Dance Company @10:00 AM: A movement class for elders drawing on music, imagery, shared stories and community to inspire the whole self. 2. Flamenco Masterclass with Jesús Muñoz Flamenco @11:00 AM: Learn techniques based on the foundation of deeprooted rhythm and musical signals, known as “por derecho”. Por Derecho is a branch of Flamenco that is personal, improvisational, and holds a profound understanding of Canté (Flamenco Song). 3. Tap Dance Masterclass with Michela Marino Lerman @1:30 PM: Following the ArtDesk Conversation and Lunch with all of Green Box’s featured dancers, join Michela for an hour of tap dancing (please provide your own tap shoes). A world-renowned tap dance instructor and educator, Michela has taught in over 15 countries. Education and sharing the gifts and rich history of tap dance, which was so generously passed on to her from the masters, is a deep passion for Michela. 4. Traditional Indian Kathak Masterclass with Barka Patel @3:00pm:
