Regarding our Evanston sketch location for Sunday May 4, 1-3pm, meet at the western entrance of Deering Library, Northwestern University, 1937 Sheridan Road, Evanston to sketch the exterior of the building. Opened in 1933, the library was designed by architect James Gamble Rogers in the Collegiate Gothic style. In case of rain, we’ll meet instead at the Norris University Center, Northwestern University, 1999 Campus Drive, Evanston, which is the student center, with food and drink options as well as views of the lake.Parking is free on Sundays, except for any spaces marked “reserved”, in the surface parking lots, parking garages, and street parking. The closest train stops for both Metra and CTA Purple line is at Davis Street.
