American music icon topping the US and UK charts in the 1950's, Buddy Holly is considered a pioneer of rock ‘n roll. Holly passed away in a tragic plane accident in 1959, ending a promising music career before he was even 23 years old. Although Holly's career was short, he produced some of the most influential songs of the 1950's, such as “Peggy Sue” and “That'll Be the Day.” In Lubbock, Holly fans find tributes to the talented musician's career.
