This is a 4-7.5 km hike (depending on where you'd like to stop) that explores much of the greenery of the Midtown-Moore Park-Rosedale area. The hike begins at Davisville Station, from where we enter the Kay Gardner Beltline Trail, which was built on a former railway path. We pass through the historic Mount Pleasant Cemetery, the largest cemetery in Toronto. Continuing through a valley via the Beltline trail, we eventually arrive at Brick Works Park, a former quarry now home to a pond and nature trails. The highlight of the hike will be a lookout point atop a hill at the Brick Works that offers great views of the Toronto skyline and the Don Valley.
The hike will officially end at the Yonge Line's Rosedale Station, which is three stations South of the starting point, Davisville. Hikers may also choose to take a different path home, or return to Davisville Station directly.
All age groups are welcome. This hike is ideal for young adults and those looking to explore more of the city! The hike leader, Qingyuan Wu, is a university student who enjoys exploring the trails and neighbourhoods of Toronto.
