David Ripp: Richmond's Olympic Figure Skate Maker

Richmond's David Ripp has specialized in skates for ice and hardwood for decades. His company, Skates U.S., manufactures the skates of choice for the majority of the current US National and World Champion Artistic Skaters and the World Quad Ball Roller Hockey Skaters.
David will visit Morrisson-Reeves Library ahead of the 2026 Winter Olympics, to give a special presentation about the history of U.S. Skates and his work with Olympic figure skaters, as well as other national and global competitive skating teams.
