William Shakespeare of Stratford on Avon is the most intensively
researched literary figure of all time. Historians have unearthed a wealth of evidence about his life and career. Unfortunately, the man revealed bears almost no relation to the writer of the famous plays and sonnets.
This talk explores the Shakespeare authorship problem and presents the case against the ‘Man from Stratford’ and in favour of other possible authors including Canterbury’s Christopher Marlowe.
Talks will last approximately one hour followed by a Q&A.
Books will be sold at the Talks and online by The Bookshop at Canterbury Christ Church University.
