David’s performance perfectly captured the essence of what Oodies stands for, a concert where the artist is truly heard, felt, and celebrated.
It’s this spirit that draws singer songwriters from around the world to the Oodies stage.
That unforgettable evening was immortalised on canvas by live artist Bob Gammage, whose painting still hangs proudly on the Oodies wall today.
Though Bob has sadly passed, his work remains a lasting tribute to the joy felt by all that night with the music that filled the room.
David Flower’s songwriting is widely celebrated, with radio airplay, placements in film soundtracks, and even Qld tourism campaigns.
His song Ride My Wave has become an anthem, and across four albums and multiple singles, David has built a catalogue rich in social commentary, spanning funk, folk, reggae, and roots delivered with groove, heart, and masterful storytelling.
Known for singing as if every show were his last, David pours everything into each performance.
This February, he returns to the Bundy Bluebird for his 10th appearance, bringing his joyful, grooving folk funk fingerpicking and soulful songs back to a stage that feels like home.
