Our fifteenth anniversary season culminates in one final recital with our beloved David Finckel & Wu Han! Cellist David Finckel and pianist Wu Han are not only the highest regarded musicians, but are also trailblazers in expanding the chamber music artform. As Artistic Directors of the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center, they have created satellite series around the world, media and live streaming performances reaching over millions of listeners, as well as transformative opportunities for young musicians. We are thrilled to welcome them back to our stage with Sonatas for Cello and Piano by Mendelssoh and Grieg. Mendelssohn's signature blend of lyricism and technical brilliance, and Greig’s evocative composition style will be the perfect way to celebrate our milestone season!
Mendelssohn: Sonata No. 2 in D Major for Cello and Piano, Op. 58
Grieg: Sonata for Cello and Piano in a minor, Op. 36
