David Cook Quartet

NYC-based pianist David Cook has worked across genres from jazz to pop to blues and everything in between for nearly 20 years, as musical director, sideman and leader. He is currently the musical director for Taylor Swift, Thomas Rhett, Maren Morris, Shoshana Bean, Shayna Steele and several other artists. As a sideman he has played in bands led by Mark Guiliana, Lizz Wright, Bob Reynolds, Alan Ferber and more. And as a leader he has released 3 critically acclaimed jazz records: Pathway, Scenic Design and his newest album on the Sunnyside label, Loyal Returns. Fred Hersch calls it "...a mature statement by a master musician with a fantastic band. This is an album of contemporary jazz composition and performance at its finest."
David is a proud graduate of the University of Michigan school of music, and serves as adjunct professor in the jazz department at Montclair State University’s John J. Cali school of music.
