About this Event
DAVi MUSiC has put together a unique live set, recreating their Steve Reichesque ala Electric Counterpoint pieces live with two electric guitars and multiple loop pedals. The set is comprised of composed works and improvisational sections that incorporate textural and sound design elements live mixed on a 4-track cassette recorder. Augmented with projections of abstract animations, the two guitarists move in a choreographed manner as they transition between shared loop stations.
About Cinchel:
I am a Chicago based musician working with guitar, effects and laptop to create abstract ambient music that is both minimal and dense. My main focus has been the interaction of sounds/notes with themselves. With only the use of delay, layering and distortion I attempt to make a lot of guitars no longer sound like guitars.I like to call this minimal dense music for that reason.
Rs Masters is Teddy Schrishuhn. A product of the American Midwest, Rs Masters implements nature-based field recordings and live unedited performances using various hardware synths and guitar pedals to build soundscapes for meditation and moments of deep listening. Drawing inspiration from native plants, pollinators, and birds as well as projects such as Loscil and the Environments recordings, Rs Masters hopes to welcome new and returning listeners into a world of sound that allows them to just be. Schrishuhn is also a founding member and co-manager of the Chicago-based Kayaks Collective.
