Join us for our 7th annual party with a cause – kicking off our spotlight on serious mental illness (SMI). Together, we’ll advocate for ending homelessness for men and women with SMI through Mental Illness Awareness Week, October 3-9.
Dave’s House Party will be a lively evening of paying it forward to help people in our community at The Acre Orlando, an outdoor venue with plenty of open space. We’ll enjoy music, tapas-style food, drinks and entertainment at this urban sanctuary in College Park. You’ll enjoy its perfect combination of outdoor rustic charm and Orlando whimsy.
We'll have a Wine Toss, where you can try your skills to win amazing bottles of wine from boutique and family-owned vineyards from around the globe. We’ll also have tastes of incredible craft beers from local breweries: Central 28, Clermont Brewing Company, Ivanhoe Park Brewing, Persimmons Hollow Brewing and Rockpit Brewing.

The in-person Party is outdoors! Our September evenings are still rather warm, so dress comfortably and weather appropriate. And, since it’s a party with friends, dress with a relaxed feel (and a festive flair, if you like). Dress like you're at a Caribbean beach resort or getting into the Jimmy Buffet-Key West vibe! We recommend lawn-friendly shoes, so ladies, skip the heels! Some resort-casual style suggestions:
• Men: khakis and a floral (Key West style!) short sleeved shirt or summer weight slacks and a golf shirt or collared shirt
• Women: flat shoes with a breezy summer dress or summer weight slacks/skirt and blouse
We’ll be celebrating our residents’ successes, highlighting our programs of people helping people and sharing details on our work’s progress. Everyone can bid to win at our online silent and live auctions, showcasing some of Central Florida’s best businesses and services.

Let's celebrate how the caring of a community creates permanent supportive homes and ends homelessness for people with SMI.
Dave’s House Party is our primary annual fundraising event. Sponsorships, business partnerships and ticket proceeds help expand our programs to provide the stability of affordable permanent supportive housing for more people with serious mental illness as well as enhance our programs providing ongoing life skills training for our residents.
