Join us for First Fridays in Aurora! Enjoy a FREE show at The Venue sponsored by Fox Valley Credit Union. Doors at 5 p.m. Show at 6 p.m. Come take a peek inside The Venue and experience our premier music listening room. This is an Open House and the bar will be open for soft drinks, beer, and wine. The show will take place the First Friday of each month from 6 PM to 8 PM and will feature a musical performance by local artists.
On December 6, Dave Sills & His Band will perform.
Dave Sills & His Band are back with a new album, MORE, and it’s filled to the brim with twelve of the intelligent, lyric-driven roots rock songs that Sills has become know for. Sonically and musically though, Sills and his band (Chris Walke - guitars, Adam Gardner - bass, keys, and Justin O’Connell - drums), who once again all contribute the writing, push the new songs into areas they haven’t previously explored. The album has already drawn positive comparisons to the works of Wilco, Del Amitri, The Wallflowers, and Tom Petty.
Sills, with and without his band, has played all around Chicago-land at such places as The Venue, SPACE, FitzGerald’s, Martyrs, The Old Town School of Folk Music, The Law Office Pub & Music Hall, and the WXRT main stage at The World’s Largest Block Party.
