About this Event
After a career in higher education spanning over 40 years (the last 30 or which have been spent at the University of Liverpool) David Shaw has decided to retire from Liverpool in August 2024. Please join David as he presents his valedictory lecture in words, pictures and song. With ‘gnarly dimensionality’ and ‘beguiling robustness’ he will reflect on the privileges afforded to him as a planning academic and provide some thoughts about the importance and value of spatial planning in an ever changing and complex world.
Arrival time: 5:00pm – Tea, coffee and Biscuits
Lecture Start time: 5:30pm -6:45pm
Following the Lecture, there will be a drinks reception with canapes in the café area of the VGM @ 6:45 – 8:15pm
