Doodad Farm’s very first show fourteen years ago included a fantastic family band from Burlington called Graymatter. Since that event, Doodad Farm and Graymatter (Barry Gray, Brad Gray, Bev Gray Gude, and her husband Dave Gude) have been partners in the music community. The band has entertained our audiences here many times, and the members of the band have been a big part of the Doodad volunteer team. We’ve hung out with each other and helped each other. We’ve made music together and supported each other’s projects. After a long and brave health battle, Dave Gude passed away on August 30. Dave was a joyful and gifted musician, songwriter, devoted husband, father, and grandfather, and a dear friend to all of us. Though we’re all devastated by our loss, we’ll join together on Sunday, October 5 at 2pm to celebrate Dave’s remarkable life through music, remembrances, and fellowship. All who knew Dave, either through his music or through friendship, are welcome to join us here at the farm.
Our gathering will run from 2pm to 5pm. You’re welcome to drop by at your convenience or stay for entire event. We will update this event with more details about the music and other aspects as the date approaches.
Whether you’re able to attend or not, the family welcomes your support by going to:
