Ability&Ambition excitedly present our first ever Inaugural Charity Ball with this years theme being "Dating with Disability".The event will be held in the same week as International Day of Persons with Disabilities and is centered around empowerment and education regarding rights and responsibilities in the world of dating.
Upon entry, attendee's will be asked whether they are open to dating, unsure of dating or strictly there to dance the night away with friends; depending on their answer they will be given a coloured wristband to indicate their decision, this will assist others with visual representation of how to approach a conversation with them.
As well as this, A&A staff will be facilitating an "opt in" speed dating session during the start of the evening, to support attendee's to get to know one another and make those initial connections which can sometimes be difficult. Please note there is no requirement to engage in this activity, especially for those who aren't interested in the dating aspect of the event.
Whilst the focus of this event is making dating more accessible for people living with disability, this evening is an opportunity for any and all members of the community to come together- Whether you are a Support Worker, Support Coordinator, family member or friend of a PwD everyone is welcome!
The venue for this event is the stunning One28 Doors in Swan Hill, who have also created a custom menu of finger food for all attendees to enjoy. Drinks will be at bar pricing and available throughout the evening for those who are interested.
The dress code is Formal/Black Tie, so ensure to dress in your fanciest attire.
Up Up n' Away Balloons will be setting up a beautiful photo backdrop for the perfect selfie, and there will also be their fantastic 360 photobooth for other photo opportunities throughout the evening.
