Accessible Data Tools and Immigrant Communities
Host: Cid Standifer
Info: In this workshop, we'll walk attendees through the basics of some free and easier-to-use data visualization tools; Flourish charts, Flourish maps, and Canva. We will demonstrate these tools using data relevant to immigrant communities and people working with immigrant communities, walking through the full workflow of finding and accessing data through visualization.
Flourish is a free tool that helps you make charts and maps for the web. Canva can help you make Flourish graphics printer friendly.
Attendees should bring a laptop to follow along as we walk through accessing and visualizing data. We welcome people new to working with data; if you're more familiar with this topic, bring your patience or willingness to jump in and help others if needed!

Fundraising by the Numbers: Turning Donor Data into Dollars
Host: Danielle M. Locke
Info: Your mission can’t afford another year of guesswork. Budget cuts are happening now. This workshop helps nonprofit and civic leaders use donor data to implement resilient fundraising strategies that not only withstand change—but fuel growth. With hands-on auditing and real-world tools, you'll leave ready to turn donor lists into action—and use data to drive lasting impact in your community.
Attendees should have basic familiarity with their donor data—whether that’s in a CRM, spreadsheet, or donation platform. Ideally, they’ll bring a laptop and have access to their donor system or a recent export. No advanced tech or fundraising skills are required—just curiosity, a willingness to explore their data, and the desire to improve how they track, steward, and engage supporters.
