The event features acclaimed poet and writer Yatindra Mishra, who will narrate rare anecdotes and insights from Begum Akhtar’s life and reflections from her remarkable journey as the queen of ghazals, thumris, and dadras. Complementing his narration, Padma Shri Malini Awasthi, along with her ensemble, will present soulful renditions of Begum Akhtar’s immortal repertoire.
More than a performance, Dastaan-e-Akhtari is a celebration of a cultural icon who redefined the world of Indian classical music and left behind an enduring legacy.
