In celebration of Xavier Cortada's current exhibition, Climate Science Art, join us for a conversation about community engagement and climate change. The event features talks by Xavier Cortada, artist and professor of practice, University of Miami; Francisco De Caso, principal scientist, Department of Civil and Architectural Engineering, University of Miami; Jennifer Jurado, chief resilience officer and deputy director, Resilient Environment Department, Broward County, Florida; and Joshua Shannon, professor, Contemporary Art History and Theory, University of Maryland.

About DASER

DC Art Science Evening Rendezvous (DASER) is organized to explore several key questions: What are the relationships among art, science, technology, culture, and all related disciplines or systems of understanding? How do these disciplines relate to one another to foster creativity, innovation, and discovery? What are the tangible results of these interactions? DASER aims to create community and discussion around the intersection of art and science.

DASER is organized by Cultural Programs of the National Academy of Sciences in collaboration with Leonardo, the International Society for the Arts, Sciences, and Technology.
