Writers' Open Mic, Thursday April 3, 7 to 9 PM, hosted by the #tuftscovewriterscollective at the friendly @dartgalleryns on Portland Street in downtown Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. Featuring YOUR writing in any genre! What can you expect?
Doors open around 6:45. Sign up when you arrive, for a five minute slot to read your work. This is a great place to practice public reading and test out new work in a friendly group of like-minded creatives. We always have a good time, lots of applause and laughs. The five-minute limit is enforced! Ding ding.
A warm welcome and moment for reconciliation, then read and listen in the cozy gallery space. Pay what you can. (All proceeds support the @dartgalleryns.) New and seasoned readers share their words. You can get close by bus or find free on-street parking. The bar will be open and there is limited (order in) food service. The venue is mostly on one level but there are two stairs to get to the washroom.
We usually meet on the first Thursday of the month.
