Darlington Libraries would like to come and visit your nursery setting to share a story and Rhymetime session with your Pre-Schoolers!
Bookstart is continuing to support disadvantaged families with their Pre-school initiative this year. Your setting has been identified by Darlington Borough Council as meeting the criteria for the Bookstart Pre-schooler packs for 3-4 year olds starting reception next year.
Alongside delivery of the Bookstart Pre-School packs, we would like to offer one FREE visit to your setting to deliver a story and Rhymetime session to your pre-school children. This is a great opportunity to invite parents to attend so that they can see what Bookstart offer, to help establish a link between families and the library and give them an opportunity to observe how to read stories to their children.
The story session will last around 20-30 minutes and will include a brief talk about the library and the Bookstart pack, singing and dancing to nursery rhymes and reading some stories.
Simply use Eventbrite to book a slot for your visit and use your setting name when you book your ticket.

P lease note, we can only offer one visit per setting. We advise you to book a slot that will enable as many of your pre-school children to attend the session as possible, however, all children in your setting ages 3-4 (due to begin Reception next year) will receive a Bookstart pack, regardless of whether they attend the story session or not.
