About this Event
At every moment, half the world is at night. In a little more than a century, our uncontrolled use of light at night has disrupted this eons long environment. How does light pollution alter our world?
Welcome to Darkness is the New Green: How Light at Night Alters Our World! Join us at the La Grange Public Library as we explore what recent research has revealed about the effects of excessive light at night: from human health to ecosystems, from climate change to our loss of the starry skies, and more. And we'll share the good news that light pollution is the easiest pollution to solve and how you can help restore our night.
Presented by, Ken Walczak, the Senior Manager of Far Horizons at the Adler Planetarium.
