Prepare for a powerful evening of song and storytelling as Lavinia Blackwall, former vocalist of psych-folk visionaries Trembling Bells, takes the stage with her full band backing Stilton, in support of her acclaimed new solo album The Making (out now on The Barne Society). Famed for her soaring, emotive voice and richly melodic songwriting, Lavinia’s live shows are both intimate and electrifying—blending folk, baroque pop, and vintage psych-rock into something truly timeless.
Opening the night is Alex Rex, the darkly poetic alter ego of Trembling Bells founder Alex Neilson, performing material from his fourth and final album The National Trust. Written in the wake of personal tragedy, the album is a raw and deeply moving meditation on grief, love, and the search for renewal—featuring contributions from Lavinia Blackwall and other longtime collaborators. With his signature mix of brutal honesty, black humour, and lyrical brilliance, Alex Rex sets the perfect tone for an unforgettable evening of emotionally rich, genre-defying music.
