DJ Mohawk Adam, known in the ’80s for his hairstyle, makeup and cutting-edge music, was a prominent character at the Georgetown nightclub Poseurs, which was the first in the region to feature music videos. Mohawk Adam became a mainstay DJ at Tracks, and he also frequently did his thing at the Roxy, Ground Zero, Fifth Column, Nation and on Saturdays at Club Orpheus in Baltimore, before moving to Portland and later Cambridge.
