About this Event

Tired of the same old highlights you've seen at the Art Institute? Wanting to see something to creep a little chill down your spine or inspire some awe? Well then this tour is for you! Come take a walk through the Art Institute with Mandy Crypt as we visit stories from mythology, discuss allegory, see human remains, and so much more! Highlights include: a reliquary from the Guelph treasure, mummies, and Hercules and the Lernean Hydra by Gustave Moreau

Please know, this is a walking tour so be sure to wear your walking shoes. There are wheelchairs available at the museum, if needed, and the route we will take is ADA compliant. All beverages must be in a resealable container and there is no food/gum/candy allowed in the museum. The museum also asks that all backpacks be checked at their complimentary coat check. Please feel free to take pictures but please turn the flash off so we can protect the art. Lastly, please be prompt and arrive a few minutes before the tour's start time as we will only wait a few minutes after the start time. Tickets are bought in advance for the museum, which is included in the price of admission to this tour.

Our meeting point will be outside the museum at the Michigan Avenue entrance in front of the north lion, pictured below.
