Join us for Dante training at the RAI on Saturday, September 14 for three special courses featuring Managed Dante and Cloud production; Dante clocking; and Dante, AES67 & ST2110.Register here: https://www.getdante.com/event/dante-training-at-ibc-2024-netherlands/
Date: 14 September
Time: 11:30 am – 5:00 pm (CEST)
Location: The RAI, Room G105, Europaplein 24, 1078 GZ, Amsterdam, Netherlands
To get to the training rooms, enter the building by entrance K, go up the escalator on your left. The G-rooms will be on the left.
Class #1: “Managed Dante & Cloud Production: DDM & Director for Broadcast Workflows”
Start Time: 11:30 am (CEST)
End Time: 1 pm (CEST)
This course is focused on Dante Domain Manager and how it can be used for Dante over Distance Networks to secure devices, manage user roles, organize rooms, and run AV seamlessly over complex layer 3 routed networks. You will also learn why DDM is essential infrastructure for service providers, integrators, broadcasters and managers of installed AV-over-IP systems. You’ll see how combining Dante Controller with DDM adds a layer of IT-level rigor and scalability to the network, all while retaining Dante’s legendary ease of use.
We will explain the success factors to deploy a Dante Over Distance Network and we will demonstrate the most important features of it and its application in real-world scenarios.
In addition to DDM, this class will introduce Dante Director, Audinate’s latest secure, cloud-based network management and control solution used to remotely configure and monitor Dante AV networks from anywhere in the world.
Class #2: “Dante Clocking: The Role of PTP for Real Time Audio”
Start Time: 1:30 pm (CEST)
End Time: 3 pm (CEST)
If you are one of those people who are interested in knowing how things actually work from the inside, this course is for you, in the “Dante and Precision Time Protocol” training, we will talk in general about the different timing sources, but we will focus on PTP and its applications for AV over IP and Dante in particular. We will show how networked equipment synchronizes with each other using PTP and the differences between PTPv1 and PTPv2.
During the course you will learn about Timestamping, Clock Synchronization, PTP Ports, Clock Types, BMCA, Boundary Clocks, PTPv1, PTPv2, etc. and what you need if you want to scale your PTP knowledge in a large distant network using Dante Domain Manager.
Class #3: “Dante, AES67 & ST2110: Interoperability, Challenges & Solutions”
Start Time: 3:30 pm (CEST)
End Time: 5 pm (CEST)
In this 90-minute overview and practical application class, we will demonstrate how Dante fits into a networked AV Broadcast environment using different AV technologies. We will show you the relationship between Dante, AES67 and SMPTE ST 2110 with a short summary of scenarios and different use cases.
This training course will demystify the more complex Audio over IP applications by demonstrating how interoperability works in real life and real time for various applications, all using the same Hardware and Software solutions you know from Dante audio networks.
