В центъра на проекта Joni Mitchell Legacy стои изключителното влияние на една от най-емблематичните фигури в съвременната джаз и поп музика – Джони Мичъл. Създаден през 2023 г. по повод 80-годишнината на иконата, проектът отдава почит към нейната неподражаема музика и дух.
Джони Мичъл е артист с огромен принос към музиката на ** век – носител на 10 награди „Грами“, автор на 19 студийни албума и колаборатор на легенди като Хърби Хенкок, Джако Пасториъс, Уейн Шортър, Ленърд Коен, Дейвид Кросби, Тони Уилямс, Питър Ърскин и Чарлс Мингъс. Нейната музика продължава да вдъхновява поколения изпълнители – сред тях Принс, Мадона, Бьорк, Елтън Джон, Нора Джоунс, Сийл, Бека Стивънс и Тиърни Сътън.
„С този проект искаме да споделим нашата почит към творчеството на канадската певица, която промени света на популярната музика и продължава да ни вълнува със своите философски текстове, неконвенционални композиции и дълбоко светоусещане,“

„Това е наш прочит на някои от най-популярните ѝ песни – Big Yellow Taxi, A Case of You, Both Sides Now, Hejira и други. Форматът е пиано трио и глас, а аранжиментите са дело на Васил Спасов.“

A project by Daniela Belcheva, inviting fans of the legendary singer-songwriter to an inspiring evening at In The Mood Jazz Club – November 14, from 7:00 PM.
At the heart of Joni Mitchell Legacy lies the extraordinary influence of one of the most iconic figures in contemporary jazz and pop music – Joni Mitchell. Created in 2023 to mark the 80th anniversary of the artist, the project pays tribute to her unique music and enduring spirit.
Joni Mitchell is an artist of immense importance to 20th-century music – winner of 10 Grammy Awards, author of 19 studio albums, and collaborator with legends such as Herbie Hancock, Jaco Pastorius, Wayne Shorter, Leonard Cohen, David Crosby, Tony Williams, Peter Erskine, and Charles Mingus. Her music continues to inspire generations of performers, including Prince, Madonna, Björk, Elton John, Norah Jones, Seal, Becca Stevens, and Tierney Sutton.
“With this project, we want to share our admiration for the Canadian singer who changed the world of popular music and continues to move us with the philosophical depth of her lyrics, her unconventional compositions, and her fearless artistic vision,”
says Daniela Belcheva.
“This is our interpretation of some of her most beloved songs – Big Yellow Taxi, A Case of You, Both Sides Now, Hejira, and others. The format is piano trio and voice, with arrangements by Vasil Spasov.”
