About this Event
David is a high school English teacher who serves as a mentor to his non-binary student, Daniel - but it turns out Daniel has a lot to teach David as well. As David begins to question his own gender, he discovers that queer mentorship can span generations, and that it isn't as easy as it seems to be a teacher for all students.
The first LA reading of this play will feature an incredible cast of queer talent, filled with laughs and song and heart.
The play won the 2022 NYU Goldberg Award for Dramatic Writing, and was workshopped last year in New York with NYU Grad Acting, and the team is thrilled to bring it home to Los Angeles for this wonderful festival.
