The Daniel Island Speaker Series is excited to host another very highly anticipated event on Wed., Jan. 22nd from 6:30 to 8:00 pm in the ballroom at the Daniel Island Club. Our featured guest will be Dr. Jenny Thompson, the longtime most decorated US female Olympian with 12 medals in swimming, 8 of them gold! Incredibly, all of this was before she completely pivoted her career into becoming an anesthesiologist and now practicing at the VA Medical Center right here in Charleston!

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to be in the Olympics? What its like to be in the quest and glory of setting world records? Or to completely reinvent yourself and career? Do you have children with big aspirations? Have them come too and be truly inspired by such a local American icon. Bring your most burning questions as this event will be quite interactive with an open Q&A session as well.

We look forward to seeing you on January 22nd at the Daniel Island Club (600 Island Park Dr.). There will be a cash bar and light hors d’oeuvres served between 6:30 to 7:00 p.m. with the program starting promptly at 7:00 p.m..
