Daniel Borzutzky is the author of The Performance of Becoming Human (winner of the 2016 National Book Award for Poetry), Written After a Massacre in the Year 2018, Lake Michigan (finalist for the Pulitzer Prize), and The Book of Interfering Bodies.
A Chilean-American poet and translator, his writing bridges continents and histories, bearing witness to displacement, survival, and the politics of care. He also translates major Latin American writers including Raúl Zurita and Galo Ghigliotto, and teaches at the University of Illinois at Chicago.
