About DANG SHOW
Formed in 2004 by brothers Taha Parsa and Shaya Shoja, well-known Persian music band Dang Show performs a fusion of Persian classical and jazz and is celebrated internationally as the pioneer of the Persian music new wave.
Winners of the Best Fusion Album in Iran for their 2018 recording Mad O Nay, the group's name is inspired by a poem by Mowlana and means “give up your wisdom.”
Dang Show's earlier release was an Amazon best-selling album in the avant-guard and free jazz categories for 2 months in 2010. This will be the band's first performance since the pandemic.
Presented by Lula Music and Arts Centre with support from The Toronto Arts Council, Ontario Arts Council, Ontario Creates, Canada Council for the Arts, Canadian Heritage and FACTOR Canada.
