Dandy Dorothy will be The Martin & Dorothy's very first queer fashion show, brought to you by designers Carlos Salcedo (Thesis Apparel), Jess Frausto (The.Thrifted.Gay) & Jordan Chavez (inbetweenbranches)! Our show will take place in Dorothy on the evening of August 6th!
Join us on Thursday June 29th in The Martin for an open casting call for Dandy Dorothy! Our designers are interested in anyone who wants to be involved - especially folks who naturally lean toward androgyny in their every day looks. All genders, all body types welcome!
Please wear an outfit you feel most confident in! They would like to see your personal style and provide a safe space to be your most authentic self. For those who feel comfortable wearing heels please wear them for your walk.
About the designers:
- inbetweenbranches - Jordan Chavez is a Queer Folk artist who specializes in Drag Fashion. His androgynous designs are created using repurposed and sustainable materials inspired by pop art americana.
- Thesis Apparel - Carlos Salcedo is a Sustainable Fashion Designer. Thesis Apparel is a combination of his production background and love for fashion. Carlos founded his gender inclusive brand to create an eco-friendly way to reduce the amount of textile waste in landfills.
- The.Thrifted.Gay- Jess Frausto is an Androgynous Thrift stylist and designer. Their goal is to break gender barriers by reimagining how to create gender inclusivity into fashion.
Sign up for one of our available 30 minute slots to be seen by our designers! All model potentials must be fully vaccinated and provide proof upon arrival. As this showcase takes place in Dorothy, all models must also be 21+ and provide ID at the door.
