Those who live upon it know only Shaldyr, the Dead Lands, where death is not an ending, but a sentence.Long ago, alien gods arrived and fought the old gods, leaving the last survivors scarred and unforgiving. In desperation, the last guardian deity, Myra Lyca, committed a final miracle: death was forbidden.
Now the dead rise. Some remember who they were. Some remember only hunger. This is not immortality, it is persistence, and it has a cost.
Shaldyr is a land of fortified cities, haunted roads, and mines rich with treasure that swallow the living as often as they reward them. Magic is unstable, resurrection is nearly impossible, and every burial risks creating something worse than a corpse. The people believe this is how the land must be, but they are wrong.
The curse is fraying. The dead are changing. And something remembers what the world was before.
This is a dark fantasy survival campaign where every choice leaves a mark, every death echoes, and the land itself is watching.
