About this Event
Dancing with Colours is an interactive performance for young people (4+) and their grown-ups. It’s about seeing art in everything & everybody; it says art can transform places and can help our minds when we are feeling worried.
A participatory performance using dance, movement, music & paint; the
audience are just as important as the performers, and the show challenges perceptions of who gets to make art & how.
Dancing with Colours is a joyful, sensory (& very messy!) dance performance co-created with audiences of learning-disabled people & families in Bradford and is led by learning disabled Artist, JoAnne Haines.
Audiences join JoAnne to dance with pastels and paint, and help bring the space to life with colour. Whether you want to sit and watch, or get right into the action; by the end of the show, JoAnne hopes you’ll feel inspired to find moments of creativity in your own lives.
