Guided by Brenée Roussel and Logan Gray, this experience blends Contact Improvisation, Cocrea Mindful Partner Dance, and embodied movement principles into a journey that explores the balance between grounding stability and creative freedom. Together, we will delve into the relationship between frame—the container that supports our movements—and flow—the energy that propels us into the unknown.
What to Expect:
Interactive Exploration: Engage in exercises that highlight the tension and harmony between structure and flow, offering tools to navigate life’s edges with grace and confidence.
Partnered and Solo Practices: Experience the dance of connection through both individual exploration and interactive partner work, fostering deeper attunement and presence.
Body Awareness Techniques: Learn to listen to your body’s subtle cues and move with greater intention and authenticity.
Creative Discovery: Tap into your unique expression through movement that bridges the familiar with the unfamiliar, the known with the mystery.

About the Facilitators:
Brenée Roussel: With a foundation in authentic movement and ecstatic dance, Brenee’s journey has been shaped by a deep connection to self and others through dance. As the first graduate of Cocréa’s facilitator training, she guides dancers to explore connection through the 6 realms of Self, Earth, Music, Other, Whole, and Community. Brenee emphasizes finding structure and form through the dynamics of lead and follow, creating space for flow, trust, and healing. Her passion is to help dancers surrender to the moment, connect authentically, and discover the magic of movement together.
Logan Gray: With over nine years of experience in Contact Improvisation and 3.5 years of teaching, Logan brings a unique blend of movement modalities that integrate somatic awareness, partner dance, authentic flow, and the principles of tensegrity. His background in massage therapy aids his lens of attuned touch and somatic mystery. His workshops are an invitation to explore the edges of growth and transformation through movement and partner connection.
