Dancing Freedom: The Gift of Grief The Gift of Grief is an evening dedicated to exploring the complexities and many layers of grief, while also celebrating life. Grief is present not only in death, but in many of life’s transitions—changing jobs, homes, shifting relationships, and health changes. It can be found within and all around us, reflecting the challenges we face both personally and as a global community. This evening is about coming together, yielding to the wisdom of our bodies through the richness of music, and normalising grief as a shared human experience. Afterward, we’ll have an opportunity for chats and tea.
⭐ You are welcome to bring any photos or objects that speak to the theme to place on the altar in honour of your individual grief process.
❤️ Everyone is welcome—when we gather with intention, magic happens.
Note:
Arrival: 6:30-6:55. Warm-up music from 6:30, circle up at 7:00.
Cost: Sliding Scale ($20–$35) Please reach out if you’d like to crew in exchange for a ticket. Don’t let finances get in the way of your participation!

Class Breakdown
We start with a warm-up and opening circle, then move through an elemental wave of earth, water, fire, air, and ether. After dancing, we’ll integrate the experience and share in a closing circle.

I’m Sage, a passionate music and dance enthusiast with 15 years of experience in the festival and ecstatic dance scene. As a Dancing Freedom facilitator, my aim is to create safe, joyful spaces for people to connect, feel, and express their authentic selves. With a background in nursing and trauma care, I’m dedicated to holding space where healing and freedom can unfold.
