Dancing and Laughing: post-punk, minimal wave, dark indie, synthpop.The first event of 2025 and we have a very special live act! They played the original Manchester Dancing and Laughing in 2013, and in 2003 they played Finsternis in Edinburgh (Nathan Nothing's old neo-folk and dark ambient night). We missed them in 2023, but here they are now.

Dancing and Laughing was a club night in Manchester, specialising in post-punk, synthpop, dark indie and minimal wave music, running during the years 2012 and 2013. During the Covid pandemic in 2020, Dancing and Laughing reappeared as an online version, and in May 2022 this was then resurrected in a small north London venue. This night has since then been a regular fixture every four months, with the EBM special Work! (To Live) in the alternating two months.
