AUDITIONSWHEN: Saturday, August 23, 2025 from 9:00am - 7:00pm
WHERE: Willett Hall (lower level of United Parish Brookline - 210 Harvard Street and the corner of Marion St) ENTRANCE is on the Marion Street side of United Parish Brookline.

REGISTRATION DEADLINE: August 21 at 5:00 PM
*Audition Numbers will be pre-assigned. You will receive a confirmation email the day before auditions with a group/line to stand in to pick up your audition number and take your headshot. This will make morning registration go much faster. Please come on time at 9am to get your audition materials, and expect the Choreographer Showcase to begin at 9:30am!
AUDITION DAY:
9:00am - Get your Audition Number & Headshot
9:30am - Choreographer Showcase
11:30am - TAP AUDITION
12:30pm - CONTEMPORARY & JAZZ AUDITION
3:30pm - HEELS AUDITION
4:30pm - HIP HOP AUDITION
7:00pm - Wrap up - hand in forms
Wear dance clothes (tanks, tees, tights, sweatpants...whatever you feel comfortable in and that makes you memorable and stand out). Bring dance appropriate shoes or dance bare foot. Please also bring a pen, water bottle and snacks.
*AUDITION FORMAT*
A few counts of 8 will be taught for each style of dance. You will then perform this choreography in small groups for the choreographers of that style. Before each small group auditions, a choreographers name will be stated. If you’d like to audition for their dance, you will raise your hand for that choreographer. Then your group will perform the combo you were just taught. Each choreographer will have the option of running one item specific to their piece across the floor to showcase a specific skill: turns, leaps, style, performance. The choreographers teaching the combinations will be announced at auditions.
IF AUDITIONING FOR HEELS, please bring heeled shoes! Be prepared to do an across the floor / improv & dance in your heels.
ONCE YOUR FINAL AUDITION IS COMPLETED and you turn in your physical and electronic audition forms, you can leave. You do not have to stay at auditions for the entire day.
CANNOT ATTEND AUDITIONS?
If you cannot attend Dancer Auditions but would still like to be considered, you must email [email protected] by or before the VIDEO AUDITION DEADLINE: Saturday August 16. Please include the following:
- your previous dance training & experience;
- include LINKS to videos of previous dance performances you've been featured in (attachments are not accepted)
- the Director will email you back with a video audition number and instructions to complete an electronic Dancer Audition Form which indicates which piece(s) you would like to audition for. VIDEO AUDITIONERS: please submit and complete your electronic Dancer Audition Form ASAP, and LATEST by Saturday, August 16!
