About the Instructors:
All the way from Chicago, Rachel Mercedes and Eric Nava are multiple time masters award winning dancers.
“Rachel began her ballroom career at the age of 7. Rachel has been teaching for 19 years at Diamond Dancesport and specializes in ballroom, country, swing and line dancing. She is the 2019 UCWDC (United Country Western Dance Council) Open Division 1 World Champion and the 2025 UCWDC Classic Masters World Champion with her partner Eric Nava.” - https://diamonddancesport.com/about-us/
Eric is a public figure in the world of Country Western dancing. He is a teacher and competitor in the organization UCWDC (United Country Western Dance Council). He comes from the Chicagoland area, where he has been teaching professionally since 2012. Eric has trained dancers from the beginner level to the professional level and enjoys being able to share his passion with all who are willing to listen. He is affiliated with several genres of dance such as Country Western, Latin, West Coast Swing, and Ballroom and uses influence from all genres to offer his unique perspective in his performances. Eric is known for bringing style and class to every occasion.
