CUERPO PRESENTE: THE INNER BEAST
Subject: HUMAN RELATIONSHIPS
I ask myself if I have a moment of silence in my daily life, if I am aware of who I am, of what I do, of my spirituality and if I take enough care of myself: eating, reading, partying, having sex, sharing... in my relationships... or if I am "ALONE" living without attention to my present moment and love. I invite you to work in “GROUP” from the YOUR OWN present moment. Wondering: DO I WORK IN MY PERFORMATIVE life, physicality, childhood, and WILD CHILD inside of me? In my daily life. Do I present? and aware of, HOW DOES MY BODY FEEL NOW? And WHAT CAN MY BODY do NOW? We will reflect on this in a personalized, conscience, and performative way. Through improvisation, purely technical tools, and rigorous research. This workshop aims to support participants in processing their internal organic sensations, presenting them externally in clear choreographic and performative forms. We start from the physical disarticulation, emotional states, and specific questions each day. Integrating the present energy, with the mind full of body, and spirit using changes in time and space simultaneously. My workshops can become a party in itself, a funeral, a catharsis, a wedding, a ritual… I INVITE YOU TO BE YOUR OWN PERFORMER.

‘CUERPO PRESENTE: THE INNER BEAST’, are contemporary dance techniques. Movement practices & Research composition. States of Humans: Emotional states & Physical States

CUERPO PRESENTE: The Inner Beast is the study engine proposed by Alexander Carrillo. Contemporary dance techniques and practices, research in movement and composition. Alexander, based on his research on dance, art, shamanism, meditation, and other knowledge has developed training and work methods from different perspectives that provide the performing artist and/or participant with basic personal construction tools and scenic elements. His work invites us to get to know our internal animal, which naturally follows the path of its physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual actions. Gives us the opportunity to get closer to different reflections of life through movement, art, and other tools. Challenging our physical and mental conditions for a better healthy understanding of our present.

CONTEXT: Human beings are in a constant search in life to know how to continue the path we are on. There is a clear connection between finding our own way, our relationships, and our daily actions. We are constantly looking for personal or group goals that are influenced by different physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual states. Each one is altered by the other in different ways and in different fields of action. How to integrate these states? Alexander reflects in “together”: When we stay together, we can face our fears, our reality, and create a new version of ourselves. Of our bodies, our physicality (whatever it is). Today in the time that we are facing in society as humans and in our personal-indviduals goals. Alexander is looking forward to supporting you with clear themes and intentions not only in the dance. Acceptance, strength, mental abilities, confidence in yourself, and trust in others, are tools of personal growth. It is not just a movement workshop; we are mind, body, and spirit in constant transformation. Within these encounters, he invites you to move your body under the consciousness of love.

MORE ABOUT OUR MEETING…
THE WORKSHOP SEEKS offers a clear way to obtain knowledge and self-awareness through the body in movement. How can we find a bridge between reason and emotion? A conscious state of transformation of the interpreter. How do get the participants out of their everyday life and their seemingly "natural" way? And invites the artist-interpreters to get involved in that daily life and identify with the present. In a performative state and stage.

METHODOLOGY is developed through concrete patterns of improvisation in altered states with different physical development and/into methods of meditation. Which are then framed in a real social context, or unreal. It is not just an improvisation; it is a conscious laboratory work using improvisation as a technical tool. The session will combine other movement techniques and challenging tasks. It is very physical research depending on your own level.

GUIDELINES & AIMS developed during the practical process:
The body, being a wild animal on an emotional path
• Tools of improvisation/decision making.
• Creative and practical elements in the research room.
• Create awareness of the body as a story/time construction in space.
• Focus your attention on the "natural" character of your movements, and authenticity.
• Awareness of the "Action - reaction".
• Space awareness: individual, public, collective, and private.
• Better process your internal organic sensations.
• Personal knowledge through the spirit and meditation: rational control, trance, presence, resonance, dialogue, and stillness.
• Theoretical material and personal biography.
• Individual and group discussions.
• Performative guidelines, based on agreements established during each session.

EACH ONE, from their own perspective and their experience, will illustrate to the audience their ideas, fears, insecurities, questions, and contradictions. Together with the creation process, we will frame it in an actual social context. What reflection do we do? How do we reach a physical or emotional state and transform it without losing our essence, our spirit? What tools do we use? How to recreate a clear space in another symbolically and develop the ability to play with it?
Alexander believes life is a journey. "I believe today´s world needs art to heal, needs art to heal our bodies from our souls. Art as a tool of transformation. From our inner feeling and sensations. From our inner beast, being present. With a conscience practice. (Is not easy - for sure is fun). Then there is not past to regret of, there is not present to be disappointed of or future to worry about. Just moments of learning. Moments of understanding our own world, our inner beast, and our own life. So long, we can share and maybe understand others' world life. A present to life and future to create."
