In September 2025, dancers and food activists travelled across Europe to bring you The Food Must Go On! A dance through the food systems that sustain and constrain us. Did you miss the performance on stage? No worries! Stick around after the BFC market at Verkstan for a cozy film viewing (20 minutes) and discussion about the power of food to connect and divide us. Before the film, Alba and Ettore from BFC will tell you all about BFC’s work with Erasmus+ and how you, too, can get involved in creative education projects addressing the crises of our time.
About The Food Must Go On:
We are 27 Erasmus+ participants who spent the week before the performance reflecting, through movement and the arts, on our connection to food, global food systems, environmental issues, and food culture. During this time we planted, cultivated, ruminated and composted this contemporary dance performance!
We want to take you on a ride through different happenings in the web of the food system that caught our attention.
Let’s immerse ourselves together in entanglements of food culture and practice, and see how we move in all of this.
This project is hosted by Bruised Food Club Uppsala and supported by Studieförbundet Bilda, Sprakateatern and the European Commission.
