Biodanza is a system of movement and dance that promotes emotional well-being and social connection, incorporating holistic concepts such as chakras. Chakras are believed to be energy centers in the body, corresponding to different physical, emotional, and spiritual aspects of our being.
Each chakra is associated with specific emotions and aspects of life - the root chakra for stability and security, the heart chakra for love and compassion. Biodanza facilitates emotional expression through dance, allowing to explore and to release feelings associated with different chakras, fostering personal growth and healing.
Key elements of the Chakra Learning Process in Biodanza is:
-Root Chakra: We’ll focus on ‘Movement and Energy Flow,’ encouraging spontaneous movement to help unblock and energise the chakras, aligning the body’s energy system.
- Emotional Expression: Through dance, participants can explore and release feelings associated with each chakra, promoting healing and growth.
- Musical Stimulation: The music used in Biodanza sessions resonates with chakras, connecting us to the heartbeat and bringing flow and compassion through melodies.

About Olga: "I arrived to Britain in 1988. Since 2015 I've been a facilitator of a body work system called Biodanza which means 'The Dance of Life'. I am teaching Biodanza workshops, retreats and classes in London, Glastonbury and Rottingdean. As a facilitator I am also working with the team of artists in a charity called Team Imagineers teaching Biodanza to groups with special needs and NHS.”
