Singer/Songwriter Rufus Wainwright was once asked in an interview about his future with a lover. The artist simply said, ?Nothing is forever, darling.? This quote inspired the title for Christel DeHaan Artistic Director Joshua Blake Carter?s 2009 work. 15 years later, Carter revisits this semi-personal coming-of-age story set to a suite of Wainwright?s music, including ?Pretty Things,? ?Leaving for Paris,? and ?14th Street.?
