All are welcome to this contemporary dance class. Using improvisation and set dance sequences, the class will move together to create joyful community. Dancers will copy and create movements that represent shapes, qualities, and patterns. Together, the group will learn how observations and imagination can create new and innovative movement possibilities. No previous dance training is required as this class will be accessible to everyone. Dance Artist Sophia has experience teaching children, young adults, the elderly, blind communities, and people with mental and physical disabilities. If you have questions about accessibility for these workshops, please reach out to ALS for more information ([email protected]).
This program is one hour long and is suited for participants of all ages and abilities. Wear clothes you feel comfortable moving in when attending these free workshops.
This program, sponsored by Arrowhead Library System, was funded in part or in whole with money from Minnesota's Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund.
