Jake Encinas has been spinning House, Progressive and Electronic Dance for 10 years and on two continents. Receiving a formal DJing and Promoting education from the Technics DJ Academy at School of Sound Recording in Manchester, England, Jake cut his teeth in Manchester clubs like Font, Sound Bar, and Orange Grove before returning to the United States. Since returning to Minneapolis, Jake has held multiple club residencies including The Lounge and Visage, as well as countless Guest DJ appearances at clubs including First Ave, Solera, Foundation.
His musical expertise is expressed by creating sounds that lead to elevated frequencies.
Blaklight is a music producer and mixologist of Neo-Soul, Funk, R&B, Dance, Fusion, Afro, House and Hip-Hop, and cultivates an infectious experience anyone can enjoy.
As a master of ceremonies, he engages all walks of life into higher states of peace and joy, with his heartfelt voice, singing melodies with skillful wordplay.
His presence and style are undeniable as he commands crowds of large groups as well as intimate settings, engaging in smooth dance moves and keeping the energy flow vibrant.
As a Dj, Blaklight has MCd over 120 weddings, shows, and events throughout the Twin Cities and the US.
From coast to coast, he has shaped himself musically, technically, artistically and spiritually, becoming more magnetic with enthusiasm in each experience.
Blaklight is currently touring and living the dream.
