Held at St James Presbyterian Church, Dance 4 Us Dunedin is a dance movement therapy programme for people aged 15 years and over who have an intellectual or physical disability (including ADHD, cerebral palsy, global development delays, brain trauma, and Autism). Clients can have fun and move their bodies creatively, and their carers can join in too.Each session is delivered by a registered dance movement therapist with the support of an assistant. Dance 4 Us sessions help foster social connections and emotional literacy through creative and expressive dance movement based activities, co-create meaningful shared experience in the community, and support individual self-expression.
Clients can drop-in and we encourage carers to participate for the safety and wellbeing of their clients. There is no cost to join, though we welcome gold coin koha/donation to attend.
