This is not limited to Muskegon OG team members. Past/present team members from any location who knew or worked with Dana can come. Friends/family of Dana can come. Starting Tuesday there will be white bags at the Olive Garden for team members (past and present) to decorate in honor of Dana.
We have 150 bags to start and can get more if needed. We ask if you decorate one to get it back to us by Monday so we can set things up on Tuesday.
On Tuesday night we want to invite past/present team members/managers, friends and family of Dana’s, to join in a Luminaria ceremony to “light the night” in teal and blue in her honor. The decorated bags will circle the Olive Garden lit with teal glow sticks. Anyone is welcome to share some words about Dana, funny memories, etc. before we take a silent lap around the building.
Dana built an OG army, taught us work ethic, leadership, empathy, compassion, and how to take care of others. She taught us how to build and find our communities, cheered us on as we took on life challenges, and was always there for us when some of those challenges knocked us down.
We hope to showcase what we at the Muskegon OG call “ #danastrong “ and look forward to seeing old faces and meeting some new ones.
